I am married with two children and the mountain bike is gathering dust but that's OK. Family and work are important factors for me and unfortunately the balancing act means the bike doesn't get used much. I get great satisfaction in being round when my kids come home so I work some crazy hours to keep everyone happy, but that's part of the buzz when you work for yourself.
I have studied entrepreneurship and innovation as part of a post-graduate Master of Management and had a great deal of growth from the experience. It has contributed significantly to the way I look at my role as a consultant and I have a healthy respect for anyone taking on the task of running his or her own business. |
